Farm Stewardship

As part of a farm diversification initiative, we were tasked with designing a new cattle shed on a farm located between Norwich and Aylsham, along the scenic River Burgh. The farm, recently acquired by a new owner, consisted of a collection of dilapidated buildings, ranging in construction from steel to brick.

The existing structures were small and only capable of housing a limited number of cattle, which did not meet the needs of the expanding livestock business.

Working in collaboration with the Countryside Stewardship grant scheme, we developed a comprehensive plan to construct a new cattle shed, complete with a hardstand and a new farm entrance. This project aimed to enhance the farm's capacity and support the growth of the livestock business, while also contributing to the farm’s overall sustainability and efficiency.
